This website is designed to give scientists and technologists, freethinkers and rationalists – secularists, agnostics, atheists, religious moderates and revisionists – a platform to express and exchange ideas and views without fear or favour in an amicable way.
In a world where fake news abounds, falsity is cloaked as absolute truth, myths are dressed up as divine doctrines, fraudulence is portrayed as political imperative, there is definitely a need to challenge such mendacious presumptions. The end result of such a challenge may come out as provocative thoughts and ideas, and that may even hurt feelings of some sensitive individuals. But our aim is definitely not to hurt anybody’s feelings, but to strive for truth fairly and fearlessly.
As Voltaire, French historian (1694 – 1778), said centuries ago, “I do not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”; we will not go that far, but we reserve our rights to tell the truth as we see it.
A few more quotes will convey our aims and objectives very succinctly:
Albert Einstein said, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning“. He also said, “What a sad era when it is easier to smash an atom than a prejudice.”
Leo Tolstoy, the great Russian author, said, “Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it”.
